A large amount of my headspace is dedicated to my fascination with inner motivations and social dynamics, and I often approach the situations I get into with a scientific bent. This blog is an outlet for me to pen down my observations and self-reflections.
I would say that my seminal post is when I made a spreadsheet of the 53 people I dated in 6 months. Start there, and you’ll begin to get a flavor of what this blog is about, although now that I’m in a happy relationship, I’ll have less juicy tales about dating.
I hope you enjoy reading my writing, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts too.
My name is Jin Chua. I was born and raised in Singapore, and I moved to New York City for college in 2009. After my accelerated 3.5 year tenure at New York University’s Stern School of Business, I majored in marketing and accounting with a minor in communications. I’ve worked in marketing consulting, branding, ecommerce, and advertising – I’ve just switched into UX research.
Outside of the concrete facts, the below are the top personality descriptors that my friends have used to describe me. I pulled this data from my ages-old Johari window, a tool used to help people better understand their relationship with themselves and others. 44% of the sample believed I was “observant”.
I would agree with the popular consensus, which has been more or less enduring through the years.
